BIOGRAPHY
Christa Calderwood is a clarinetist born in Silver Spring, MD. She started learning music as a young child, and began taking piano lessons at age 7. She took up the clarinet two years later to join 4th grade band, and it quickly became her primary instrument.
​
Christa received her Bachelor's of Music in performance from Gettysburg College, studying under Dr. Aaron Scott. While attending Gettysburg she studied abroad for a semester in Vienna, where she took lessons from Stefan Neubauer of the Vienna State Opera Stage Orchestra, and worked with professors from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna.

She is currently enrolled at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, pursuing a Master's in Contemporary Classical Music Performance.
